25th Anniversary Preparations - Over the years many experiments have been undertaken, hills climbed, presentations made, trips taken and lives touched by the Space Explorers Program. As the 25th anniversary approaches in the summer of 2016, we are planning a celebration/reunion and conducting an external evaluation. This webpage is initially designed to jog memories and help us gather contact information of Space Explorers with whom we have lost touch. These posts will eventually be transformed into an archive to document the history, accomplishments and impact of the first 25 years of the Space Explorers Program and to inspire the next 25.

OSP, CARA, CfCP & KICP - At the core of this program is a partnership between the Office of Special Programs-College Prep (OSP) and the Astronomy, Astrophysics & Cosmology research community. The Space Explorers began in 1991 under the auspices of the Center for Astrophysical Research in Antarctica (CARA), and since 2001 it has been a signature program of the Kavli Institute for Cosmological Physics (KICP) at the University of Chicago, formerly the Center for Cosmological Physics (CfCP).
